Phosphorus Partition Between Liquid Crude Steel and High-Basicity Basic Oxygen Furnace Slags Containing V2O5

Abstract The influence of V 2 O 5 on the phosphorus partition between liquid crude steel and heterogenous basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slag with CaO/SiO = 4.2 was investigated at a temperature 1600 °C in middle frequency induction furnace. Thereby transfer from “steel to slag” as well “slag steel” studied over holding time 60 minutes. measured results were shown capacity compared experimental values literature. It found that highly BOF slags decreases capacity. In addition, resulting using scanning electron microscope (SEM).
